BAGH AZAD KASHMIR
Bagh, the district headquarters of district Bagh is 100 Kilometers from Muzaffarabad via Kohallah & 80 Kilometers via Suddhen Gali, 205 Kilometers from Islamabad and 48 kilometers from Rawalakot. The Area of district Bagh is 1368 sq km having population estimated in 1994 about 0.443 million. Topographically this district falls into mountainous zone. Administratively, district Bagh has two sub-divisions namely Bagh and Dhirkot. This district resembles to district Poonch in all means due to its history, culture, customs and traditions. District Bagh, as a whole is rich in natural beauty. Bagh, Dhirkot and Sudhan Gali, Ganga Choti, Hans Chowki, Neela Butt, Las Danna and Ganga Choti are the main scenic spots in this district.

Tehsil BAGH
It is 100 km. away from Muzaffarabad via Kohalla and 80 km. via sudhan gali, 205 km. from Islamabad and 46 km. from rawalakot. This town is situated on the confluence of two mini nallas malwani and mahal which flow all the year round.

Bagh town comprises shops of all trades and has all the basic necessities of life. The people of Bagh Azad Kashmir are brave, courageous and skilled, especially the artificers in the field of bakery and confectionery. The well recognized Haji Peer Pass is about 32 km. From Bagh city linked with metal led road. Tehsil Dhirkot:
The fascination and charming place of district Bagh Azad Kashmir is 25 km from kohalla the gateway of Azad Kashmir and 132 km from Islamabad located at an altitude of 1676m. Dhirkot is extremely pleasant and healthy climate area which is near to nature. This place is very popular among the visitors as a tourist resort mainly due to easy access, suitable altitude and beautiful landscape.

Neela Butt:
From Dhirkot towards southeast 5 km ahead is Neela Butt. This spot is situated at an altitude of 2000m. Despite its scenic beauty, this place is well-known for its historic background.

Las Danna:
From Bagh City 15km long metal road leads to Las Danna. From Lasdanna the main highway branches to three roads, one leads to Mahmood Gali, Plangi and Kohalla the other runs to Haji peer and Aliabad while the third one towards Abbasspur, Hajira and then Rawlakot Poonch District. Here AJK tourism department has constructed a tourist rest house.

17 km ahead of Las Danna is another scenic spot for tourist’s attraction Mahmood Gali. From here 10 km away is Kahuta linked with metal road, is also a worth seen place. From Kahuta 10 km away is Kailer and then 12 km from Kailer is Hallan valley. These are located in Tehsil Haveli, Fwd Kahuta, District Bagh Azad Kashmir.

When & How To Go:
Bagh town can be visited year round. This town is accessible by metal roads from Rawalpindi, District Muzffarabad and District Poonch. You can drive in your own car, van or bus to Bagh (166 km. from Rawalpinid, 100 km from Muzaffarabad via kohalla, and 46 km from Rawalakot). Bagh Azad Kashmir is also linked with Muzaffarabad via Sudhan Gali with the distance of 86 km. The area of higher altitude like Dhirkot, Neela Butt, Mahmood Gali, Lasdana and Kahuta can be visited only in summer, as these spots are too cold in winter.
